Skatewheel Gravity Conveyors
|
The right conveyors can make your factory or warehouse a model of efficiency through automation. By automating the movement of products, packages, cartons and cargo you can increase safety by letting the conveyors move products from place to place or floor to floor instead of using your valuable employees to lift and move products and packages. You can increase efficiency and decrease time to delivery by employing gravity conveyors and powered conveyors to move your cartons, packages, cargo and products to their shipping points in record time and ultimately lower operating costs and maximize profits.
Use Skate Wheel for products with flat bottoms, cartons, cases and tote boxes. They require less pitch than roller conveyor and have better tracking. Use steel for greater capacity, durability and economy. Use non rusting, lightweight aluminum for portability. |

| Skatewheels: Available in a variety of arrangements for gravity conveying applications
Gravity wheel conveyors are best suited for light duty applications. The key criteria is that the load bottom surface is flat, rigid and smooth. Soft bottom packages are not recommended since wheels may indent soft bottom containers, thus curtailing product movement. Also, consideration must be given to the construction of the bottom surface of the product container. A wooden crate, for example, may hang on individual wheels and not start from its stopped position. When calculating minimum wheel spacing, the wheel patterns below may be used to determine minimum wheel spacing. Wheel axles are spaced on 3" centers. |
